Breed Goldfish

Goldfish Breeders in the USA, Listed by State

Buy a goldfish from the person who bred it, and you can ask about its parents, see photos of the exact fish, and get advice from someone who raised it from an egg. The tricky part is finding them.

This list shows small farms and home fish rooms around the country that breed their own goldfish and sell to the public. Pick your state or the variety you want, then contact the breeder directly.

Questions to ask before you buy

  • Can I see photos or a video of the exact fish I’m buying?
  • How do you pack fish for shipping, and what happens if one arrives dead?
  • What food are the fish eating now, so I can keep them on it?
  • Do you quarantine or treat fish before you sell them?

Get the tank ready before your fish arrive. Our guides to choosing a substrate and safe tank mates cover the basics.

How we choose who gets listed

Every breeder here says on their own website or page that they breed their own goldfish, and sells to the public. We list only what they publish, and each listing shows the day we last checked it. Breed Goldfish doesn’t sell fish, take a cut of sales, or vouch for any seller.
